Next week in a special half hour programme on Radio Wey, Helen Julia Minors talks with the founder of the ABC course, Sarah Clay, about getting involved, the benefits, and support, and the funding.
ABC [Active Breathing Course] is a free, six-week course devised specifically to help people recover from the impact of Covid and other respiratory illnesses in a fun, creative way.
The interview will be broadcast on Radio Wey on Tuesday [27th] at 3.30pm, Thursday [29th] at 9pm and Friday [30th] at 4.30pm. https://www.radiowey.org/
ABC will particularly benefit those who have been left with on-going symptoms of:
breathlessness
fatigue
anxiety
disordered breathing
Breathing exercises and singing are widely accepted as a way to improve breathing, help restore lung function and capacity as well as regain muscle support. On ABC, you will learn valuable breathing and singing techniques to help you manage symptoms as well as receiving support from course tutors and fellow course attendees. The course includes six 35-40-minute Zoom sessions for 8-10 people, led by expert tutors. https://www.voh.org.uk/abc.html
