I've spent some time today co-writing (with Hilary Friend) up my time working for WRPM as part of a chapter for our book on Women in Musical Leadership (edited with Laura Hamer). I've found is hugely moral boosting.
I've been re-listening to the symphonies of Florence Beatrice Price (from my own radio episode dedicated to her) at the same time and feeling grateful I was introduced to music by women, and music from a wide range of women from different cultures, races, faiths, at such a young age. It's really informed my thinking and work in EDI. I am at this moment remembering the women who set me up for the internship in the first place, Margaret Lucy Wilkins.
